Michael McCann is an architect with over 38 years of broad residential architectural experience, including designing new homes, revamping interior room floor plans and performing all types of home remodeling. Mike's fundamental goal has been to offer clients sound construction planning and architectural design with the homeowner's budget firmly in mind.

In addition to designing new homes, Mike has also developed solutions to the many problems presented by updating and expanding older residences. He has executed those solutions with integrity while considering the original building's architecture so that the final product looks seamless. Licensed in both New York and Connecticut, Mike has a unique understanding of local construction costs after spending over 30 years as both a residential contractor and an architect. But the firm is now just concentrating on architecture. Mike has developed solid relationships with many local building departments, trades people and general contractors and has been recommended by several builders, decorators and real estate brokers to their clients. As a result, Mike has an intimate knowledge of local building costs. He is also familiar with flood plain regulations, an important consideration in this geographic area.

Mike graduated from New York Institute of Technology with a B. Architecture degree, where he was valedictorian of the graduating architectural class. At graduation, Mike received awards for the most promising designer as selected by the New York Institute of Technology faculty. Mike has been featured in several publications, with one of his residential projects highlighted in Westchester magazine's "Ten Most Beautiful Houses".

A hallmark of Mike's practice is the large number of clients with whom he has had long relationships. He has completed several projects for many clients in addition to "inheriting" new buyers of residences he had previously renovated.
